Field Engineer Staff will deploy to multiple locations in Iraq/Afghanistan to install video broadcast / exploitation system.  Prior to deployment, the person will attend training based around the Washington DC Metro and Suffolk, VA areas for approximately 2 months.  System will consist of video exploitation equipment, NetApp network attached storage, LINUX servers, Cisco routers, and multiple video decoders/encoders.  The OCONUS installation period is expected to last for 3 months. The Field Engineer Staff will remain in Iraq/Afghan after installation period to operate Network Operations Center.  This person will also conduct Tier 1 O&M and Field Service (component replacement) for remote nodes. The Field Engineer Staff will also act as lead for other O&M Field Service personnel within remote country.  During OCONUS tour, this person will live in austere conditions on secure compounds.  OCONUS candidates will work up to 60 hours per week and receive danger and hardship entitlements at State Department rates for the area.  Field Engineer Staff will also be eligible for Bonus for satisfactory tour completion.  Candidate will be subject to medical and dental screening prior to deployment.

Job Requirement:
 
DoD Top Secret Clearance
BS or equivalent +7 years
 
Mandatory Skills:  LINUX, Cisco Router Administration, Practical IT background, IT System installation experience, Leadership Skills
 
Desired Skills:  Video Storage Solutions, Network Storage, Video exploitation, FAME Architecture, CCNA, Experience working in Southwest Asia Region (CENTCOM AOR).
