The Senior Subcontracts Administrator will provide extensive activity in support of international business, both international customers as well as international suppliers.  Will be responsible for proactive participation in a subcontract management team to perform requirements definition, prepare ‘Requests for Proposal’, and analyze supplier proposals to prepare for negotiations and subcontract awards in a fast paced environment.  
 

  • Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
  • Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, write awards, and administers resulting subcontracts.
     
  • Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
     
  • Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures.
     
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
     

Job Requirement:
 

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in subcontracts administration is required
     
  • Good working knowledge and experience administering government contracts/subcontracts with FAR regulations is essential
     
  • Prior experience with government contracting/subcontracting methodologies is required
     
  • Should be results oriented and be able to work under minimal supervision,
     
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel, and any procurement software is highly desirable
     
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with well developed verbal & written communication skills are needed
     
  • Must be willing to travel to austere/volatile areas
     
  • Should be flexible to adapt and thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment
