    General Requirement
  Seeking an intelligent individual w/ strong initiative, problem solving and ability to quickly understanding systems and requirements w/ minimal guidance having either a military/LE and/or commercial experience in the risk management/security & systems integration industry willing and able to work in challenging environments with considerable disparity and ambiguity across position requirements.

    What are the key outputs and responsibilities of this position (insert Schedule A if completed)
   

  • Assist the capture process by engaging, as directed, w/ potential or realized stakeholders, assessing commercial and technical aspects of opportunities, exploring requirements, performing assessments of technical needs, participating in the generation of technical solutions, assisting the in the drafting of financial components and assisting the Program Manager(s) (PgMs) to ensure submission of quality proposal documentation
  • Conduct ongoing QA/QC, support and oversight of project performance across the Program(s) operating space
  • Coordinate the review of draft contractual documentation
  • Generate and provide oversight and monitoring of contract performance within respective program(s) as matched against technical, contractual and financial deliverables
  • Create and manage technical and contractual returns and reports external to PMO functions from inception through final and accurate periodic reporting
  • Monitor financial returns and operating budgets in-line with agreed financial schedules and ensure accurate reporting, budget oversight and accountability for accurate revenue collection
  • Provide information and assistance/advice to Project Managers, PMO staff or other contract-dedicated personnel, where relevant, in the delivery of service provision impacted by the position’s responsibilities
  • Develop and refine internal reporting procedures and mechanisms for the Program Management department
  • Assist the PgM in DIV/SBU/LoB returns of a commercial, financial or strategic nature and other forms of periodic reporting which may be required
  • Support the PgM in engagement w/ Client/Customer stakeholders in line w/ Program goals and requirements
  • Perform in a well organized manner working to deadline and under pressure in challenging environments while communicating effectively, working within a large and diverse team spanning several departments and being able to quickly and efficiently adapt to changing performance needs

    Essential skills, knowledge and experience for this position:
 
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in a commercial environment and/or national security institution; preferably uniformed service member or law enforcement officer with experience leading teams of 12 or more individuals
  • Post-secondary degree in relevant field (security, international relations, development, economics, law enforcement, etc.)
  • Ability to aggregate information, understand requirements with minimal oversight/coaching and execute position deliverables on own initiative with little to no management or supervision
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office Suite products
  • Ability to work in challenging and insecure environments
  • Strong organizational, planning and management skills
  • Ability to supervise the financial management of budgets
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    Desirable skills, knowledge, attitude and experience for this position:
   

  • Awareness of commercial processes and basic commercial requirements: Business Development, financial accounting, Client Relationship Management (CRM), business planning
  • Previous experience working for or with private security/risk management companies or within the defense industry
  • An awareness of contract management requirements and contract types; especially those related to the US Federal Government
  • Understanding or experience with security best practices/principles and operational planning
  • Demonstrated understanding of national security/defense industry/development community and parallel government structures
  • Knowledge of Dari/Pashto languages a plus
