JVWR Editorial Internship - Telecommuting

The Journal of Virtual Worlds Research, a publication of the Virtual Worlds Institute, is looking for proactive interns to join our growing staff of copy editors. Copy editors will review and prepare content from some of the leading minds in virtual world technology and public policy while building in-demand job skills and networking with an influential group of writers, thinkers and industry names.
Responsibilities
- Edit articles for publication with an eye towards JVWR "style" and "voice".
- Work with the Editorial Coordinator to divide up pending articles and streamline production.
- Communicate with article authors on matters of style and form.
- Submit copy edited articles to the Editorial Coordinator through Dropbox.
- Communicate effectively with the Editorial Coordinator on editing progress.
Requirements
- Previous experience editing content in an academic setting (research papers, analytical writing).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Understanding of the rules of grammar and punctuation.
- Ability to produce timely edited content while working from a home or home office.
- Ability to effectively copy edit multiple articles on tight deadlines.
