For more information about the crisis:
USAID has developed both a fact sheet and a map of the affected area (PDFs). Both are good resources for understanding the magnitude of the damage.
The One Campaign has set up a blog dedicated to information and updates from the ground.

A more exhaustive list of organizations benefiting Haiti can be found on Harvard's website. Before making a commitment, we recommend reading this advice from aid workers and/or Lifehacker’s guide to giving. Please post additional resources in the comments or E-mail them to press[at]ypfp.org.
